This week I’ve been busy restructuring some of my business and made some tough decisions. I needed to bring some things to a head (and yes, I’ve gone a bit blond too!)

It’s based on the fairly major and personal transformation I’m going through with my home based business opportunity. Spending some time away over the new year period, I now feel so much acceptance for myself, my belief in the goals I set out for myself and my team, and I continue to understand my true potential each and every day.

I feel more connected and fulfilled with my life path than I’ve ever done in my career before, and from that I’m able to experience far deeper levels of joy, peace, and love, and to share and inspire others through that.

It’s a journey and it’s very exciting and enlightening and I want that for each and everyone one of you too.

Your business will grow to the extent that YOU grow.

All things being fair we all should be achieving great things with a top tier model like the home based business opportunity I recommend. And when I start coaching someone, I always believe we’re going to achieve so much. I truly believe I am going to be able to make a huge difference. The weekly training and my personal support is intended to help you dramatically change your fortune. Lofty goals eh.

The starting point for my own transformation harks back to stuff I was discovering and sharing over the past year about the power of WHY to drive fulfilment in life and business. This simple, yet profound question has the power to transform your beliefs and approaches, push past your daily challenges, fuel your drive and persistence to create above average results and empower you to live the life you truly desire and in turn inspire and help others.

So you first must discover your marketable gifts, strengths, and unique purpose. It’s from that place that you will attract like minded others to you. It actually makes good business sense to continue to develop your personal awareness, your knowledge, skills and value  -in essence, become the best version of yourself, right? (See my latest blog posts for a rehearsal of some of these ideas.)

So one of my decisions is that I can only help people who help themselves, those who want a home based business opportunity and have a clear and strong WHY, even if you can’t quite articulate it and use it in your marketing yet.

You see, I’ve come to realise that I’ve done my part in my team’s success to the best of my ability. And I hate having to rant on and motivate some folks each week. I hate it for the people who don’t act on stuff, when they get in their own way, when they lack belief in themselves, in the business, in the power of the products they themselves market to others, and most of all, when they don’t commit to their own dreams.

It’s the one frustrating part of building and supporting a team – a portion of people who play way below their potential. Some get it and still do nothing, some don’t get it or believe they can’t do it (because this or that …) and others do really well, but not half as well as they could given the right home based business opportunity plan coupled with strong personal development.

Yet others, and I include myself in this … I see rise to what’s possible, who have major challenges in their lives and they still do what they promised themselves to do, even if they have to set somewhat lower targets for their productivity while they deal with stuff, because they have a strong vision, a clear path and steel will to achieve their goals.

You can’t be taught that personal awareness, you can only be shown the route to developing it for yourself.

My decision is tough love. It’s going to kick some people’s ass and not others.

Because I fear that unless you tackle some underlying problems in your the productivity of your home based business opportunity, you’ll continue going so slowly, you’re destined to quit. You see, I wanted to see enormous change here with my time spent with my coaching students.

I know that’s particular hard for some people to hear. But I wouldn’t be true to myself if I let it go on without some kind of decision action, on my part and on yours. So don’t be scared stiff of making a decision – embrace new direction.

So my decision has been this. My personal one-to-one coaching and weekly training will now be for Elevate members only and we will be having a 100k business training group starting in March.

You want to surround yourself with people that are in the same mindset as you, people who have that ‘let’s make it happen’ mentality, and people who are making lots of money. I can keep on saying what you have to do, how to stay focused, keep things simple, do the basics, get the personal development necessary, but only you can take action on it and believe in the results you will get.

So I know my decision will affect some of my coaching students in a positive way while others may hum and haw or say ‘oh well that was that, nice while it lasted’. This is not to try to force you into buying the Elevate course or switching companies – it’s because I can’t help you if you don’t help yourself.

I can’t take you with me if you don’t get on board…it’s kind of a ‘where you lead, I will follow’… situation, so you can be on YOUR journey, your transformational path. It’s a step you have to take, or choose not to – but it is a door through to very different results if you choose to participate.

This is actually less about what company you ‘belong’ to – I still have various products in my marketing portfolio, I still tune into various communities of entrepreneurs to develop my thinking. But as a business opportunity, I believe very strongly that most home business marketers need to work on themselves primarily before they succeed in their business.

Mindset before skillset, always.

Personal growth before financial growth, always.

 

Here’s something one of my team asked me just today, here’s our skype conversation:

[Team member:]  What do you think of MLSP?

[Jay Allyson:]  MLSP is a great distraction.

[Jay Allyson:]  Because people focus on how to get more leads. But if you can’t convert those leads (as I was saying on my training on Monday night), all the leads in the world won’t grow your business.

Lots of people go for the next shiny new marketing tool … believe me THAT’s not their primary problem. Their primary problem, every time, is MINDSET. (And mindset comes through in your follow up with people, your conversions.)

[Jay Allyson:]  Now that’s the most challenging part of how you market what we have. People have to wake up to accepting this is their primary problem, usually once they’ve exhausted all the various marketing systems and clubs and tools etc that they buy. (This was certainly my own experience!) When you add that up, it’s much more than the price of an Elevate program, ironically… that’s a great marketing message right there!

[Team member:] I’ve always believed it was a “safe” investment, with respect to regular businesses.

[Jay Allyson:]  It’s a SAFE investment if you BELIEVE in yourself to reach your true potential. It’s all about commitment.
This is where Avant and personal development comes into its own, it opens the market right up again – both for struggling marketers and for people already interested and buying these kinds of products.

What I’m finding talking to prospects now is that, as a home based business opportunity, Avant a much tighter fit, it makes more sense, it captures what people most require.
